A huge shout out to our members for making this clothing sale such a successful donation to two deserving local businesses. Our members brought in gently used clothing to be sold at a dollar a piece to raise money for the Bread of Life ministry located in Augusta. With all the donations we were able to raise $405 for the Bread of Life Soup Kitchen. The Bread of Life provides food to those in need that don’t have the means necessary to provide for themselves. They are run by donations and volunteers, making homemade meals a few times a day. One of our members volunteers every week to help pass out meals. The clothes that were left over from the week long sale were donated to the Clothing Closet of Gardiner ME. The Clothing Closet was started originally by one of our members to help those in need with free or inexpensive clothing.
